RACE 3 – Race Away from the Movie! (Review)

0

With Race 3 starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandes, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem, the Director Remo D’souza makes a statement. And the statement is, ‘We will continue making mindless movies and we know that the audience will watch it as long as there is Salman Khan’. Race 3 tests your patience, integrity and intellect. It is a slap on the face of the average movie goer.

Watching your ceiling fan for two and a half hours might be more interesting than watching this movie.

Anil Kapoor plays Shamsher Singh, a leading arms manufacturer and supplier whose ‘family’ comprises of his adopted son, Sikandar, played by Salman Khan, Sanjana played by Daisy Shah and Suraj played by Saqib Saleem who are twin siblings. A property dispute creates a rift between Sikandar and the Twin Siblings. Add to this, Yash, played by Bobby Deol, the family’s trusted man, and you have enough characters for a typical ’Race’ instalment. The Race to retrieve a Hard Disk containing proof of sexual perversions of top politicians to leverage it for personal gains is the sub-plot in this no-brainer. There are some twists in the second half, as expected from a Race instalment but these twists are so predictable and in some cases laugh-worthy that you are more often than not, facepalming yourself at the stupidity that plays out on screen.

Poor graphics, cringe worthy dialogues, needless, almost comical action sequences involving flying cars Rohit Shetty style, tacky lyrics, boring songs, uninspired direction, zero storyline, and hamming all around in the acting department makes this movie easily one of the worst to have ever been made. And two and a half hours, the torture is that much longer.

Watching your ceiling fan for two and a half hours might be more interesting than watching this movie.
