സാകിനാക്ക ഇടവകയിലെ ശെമ്മാച്ചൻ ജെറിൻ ജോയ്‌സൺ ചിറ്റലപ്പിള്ളി ആണ് ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി നെരൂൾ പള്ളിയിൽ കുർബാന കഴിഞ്ഞു അൾത്താരയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങവേ കുഴഞ്ഞു വീണ് മരിച്ചത്. ഈ ഡിസംബറിൽ പുരോഹിത പട്ടം സ്വീകരിക്കാനിരിക്കവെയാണ് ജെറിന്റെ ആകസ്മിക വേർപാട് . അൾത്താരയിൽ കുഴഞ്ഞു വീണ ഉടനെ അടുത്തുള്ള ടെർണ ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിൽ എത്തിച്ചുവെങ്കിലും ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല.
ജെറിൻ ജോയ്‌സൺ ചിറ്റലപ്പിള്ളിയുടെ ആകസ്മിക മരണം ഞെട്ടലോടെയാണ് നഗരം കേട്ടത്. മുംബൈയിലെ സാകിനാക്ക മേരി മാതാ ഇടവകയിൽ ജനിച്ചു വളർന്ന ജെറിൻ പൗരോഹിത്യം സ്വീകരിക്കുവാനായാണ് 2007 ൽ കല്യാൺ രൂപതയിൽ ചേരുന്നത്. മരണത്തിന് തലേ ദിവസമായിരുന്നു ജെറിൻ 27 വയസ്സ് പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയത്.
കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം പൂനെയിൽ വച്ച് ഹൃദയാഘാതമുണ്ടായതിനെ തുടർന്ന് മുംബൈ ഹിന്ദുജ ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിലെ ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്നു ജെറിൻ. പൂർണ ആരോഗ്യവാനാണെന്ന് ഡോക്ടർമാർ സാക്ഷ്യപ്പെടുത്തിയതിന് ശേഷമാണ് വീണ്ടും പൗരോഹിത്യപരമായ സേവനങ്ങളിൽ വ്യാപൃതനായത്.
ഇന്നലെ വൈകീട്ട് നെരൂളിലെ സെന്റ് ലിറ്റിൽ ഫ്ലവർ പള്ളിയിൽ വച്ചായിരുന്നു അത്യാഹിതം സംഭവിക്കുന്നത്. സംസ്കാര ചടങ്ങുകൾ ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച ജൂൺ 25ന് സാകിനാക്കയിലെ മേരി മാതാ പള്ളിയിൽ നടത്തുവാനാണ് തീരുമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
Obituary
Deacon Jerin Joyson Chittilapilly is called to eternal rest today (20.06.2019) evening, on the feast of Corpus Christi. Eparchy of Kalyan with deep sentiments, mourn his sudden death and express our heartfelt condolences to his beloved parents, his sister, family and all his dear and near ones.
Deacon Jerin was born on 19th June 1992 to Mr. Joyson and Mary and celebrated his 27th birthday yesterday.
He was born and brought up in Mary Matha Parish, Sakinaka, Mumbai and joined for priesthood for the Eparchy of Kalyan in 2007. He did his philosophy studies at St. Thomas Apostolic Seminary, Vadvathoor, Kottayam and Theology at Papal Seminary, Pune.
He had an attack of mild stroke last year as a result of cerebral coning due to cerebral hemorrhage (cortical venous thrombosis), while studying at Papal Seminary, Pune, but later got healed. First he was treated at Inlaks hospital and then transferred to Hinduja hospital. After doctors certifying about his good health, he was going ahead in his priestly formation. He received his diaconate on 13th April 2019 and was getting ready to be ordained a priest in December 2019.
This evening, at St. Little Flower Forane Church Nerul, where he was doing his diaconate ministry, he suddenly fainted and fell to the ground when he was about to keep the Holy Eucharist into the tabernacle. Then he was rushed to the nearby hospital. After the fruitless efforts of bringing him back to life, he bid adieu and went for the eternal rest today at 08.30 pm.
The funeral will be held on 25th June, 2019 (Tuesday) at Mary Matha Church, Sakkinaka. Time will be informed later. Let us surrender his soul to the Lord. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
